Every payment on Gigsouk follows this escrow flow. Funds are never released until the buyer is satisfied.
Buyer Places Order
The buyer selects a product or service on Gigsouk and proceeds to checkout. They choose a payment method (Razorpay, Cashfree, or PayPal) and complete the transaction.
Payment Held in Escrow
The full payment amount is securely held by our escrow system. The seller is notified of the new order but funds are NOT released yet. This protects the buyer from non-delivery.
Seller Delivers Product
The seller delivers the digital product (template files, service deliverable, etc.) through the Gigsouk platform. The buyer receives a notification that delivery is ready.
Buyer Confirms Delivery
The buyer reviews the delivered product and confirms that it matches the listing description. If satisfied, they approve the delivery. If not, they can raise a dispute.
Payout Released to Seller
Once the buyer approves, Gigsouk releases the payment to the seller minus any applicable platform fee. The seller can withdraw funds to their bank account or UPI.

How long are funds held in escrow?
Funds are held until the buyer confirms delivery. For digital products, the review window is typically 48 hours after delivery. If the buyer does not respond, funds are auto-released after the review period.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept UPI, credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and wallets via Razorpay and Cashfree for Indian buyers. International buyers can pay via PayPal or international cards.
How fast are seller payouts?
After buyer approval, payouts are processed within 1-3 business days. Sellers can withdraw to their bank account, UPI ID, or PayPal depending on their location.
What happens if there is a dispute?
Either party can raise a dispute during the review window. Our team reviews evidence from both sides and resolves the dispute within 3-5 business days. Escrow funds remain held until resolution.
Does Gigsouk store my card details?
No. All payment information is processed directly by our PCI DSS compliant payment partners (Razorpay and Cashfree). Gigsouk never stores, processes, or has access to your card details.
What are the platform fees?
During our launch period, platform fees are 0% for sellers. Standard gateway processing fees (2-3%) still apply as charged by the payment provider. Post-launch platform fees will be clearly communicated.
